At B&P Concrete, we want to make your experience as smooth and informed as possible. Below, you'll find answers to some of the most common questions about our services, processes, and what to expect when working with us. How long does a typical concrete project take? The timeline for a concrete project depends on the size and complexity of the job. Smaller projects, like driveways, patios, or sidewalks, typically take 1-3 days for preparation, pouring, and finishing. However, the concrete needs time to cure before it's fully ready for use. Initial set time: A few hours after pouring Walkable: 24-48 hours Light vehicle traffic: About 7 days Full strength: 28 days (complete curing) Larger or more complex projects may take longer. We’ll provide a clear timeline before starting your project!

How soon can I use my driveway or patio after it's poured? After your driveway or patio is poured, it’s important to allow the concrete to properly cure before use: Walking: Safe after 24-48 hours Light vehicles (cars, small trucks): Wait at least 7 days Heavy vehicles or equipment: Avoid for 28 days (full curing time) While concrete continues to gain strength over time, following these guidelines helps prevent cracks and surface damage, ensuring a long-lasting, durable finish.

How long does concrete last? Concrete is an incredibly durable and long-lasting material. When properly installed and maintained, it can last 20 to 30 years or more depending on factors such as weather conditions, usage, and maintenance. Residential driveways & patios: Typically 20-30 years Sidewalks & foundations: Can last 30-50 years Light maintenance, such as sealing, avoiding heavy impacts, and preventing water damage, helps extend its lifespan. With the right care, your concrete can remain strong and functional for decades!

Is sealing my concrete necessary? Sealing your concrete is highly recommended to protect it from damage and extend its lifespan. For best results, seal your concrete every 2-3 years, depending on exposure to weather and traffic. We apply a protective sealant to all of our projects upon completion to ensure durability and longevity.
